Approved on October 11, 2015, Senate Bill 272 added a section to the California Public Records Act requiring local agencies to create a catalog of Enterprise Systems by July 1, 2016 with annual updates. Read the full text of SB 272 here.
August 12, 2026- 9:45PM- The Talbot Fire is well established on the west slope of the Tahoe National Forest in the Middle Fork drainage of the American River. The fire originated near the Talbot campground northeast of French Meadows Reservoir. The fire is being managed by USFS with assistance from Cal Fire. Night-flying helicopters will be working overnight to assist hand crews, engines, water tenders, and dozers. The fire is expected to continue to produce smoke in the greater North Tahoe/Truckee region, including Olympic Valley. While no evacuations related to the Talbot fire are posted for any of the eastern slope of the Sierra, an Evacuation Warning has been issued for an area west of the Sierra crest.
This is a good time to review evacuation protocols, check your Go Bags (one at home and one in your vehicle), familiarize yourself with notification methods, and check in on neighbors.
