Prepare your emergency supply kit before wildfire season or an emergency occurs—don’t wait until the last minute. Keep it in an easily accessible location so you can evacuate quickly, and pack enough supplies in case you are away from home for an extended period.  Keep a second emergency kit in a remote location in case you are away from home when an emergency occurs and are unable to return.
