The District has an asset replacement program that funds the replacement of equipment and apparatus according to anticipated service life and/or industry guidelines. When items are no longer needed, District code requires that the Board declare these assets to be surplus to our needs before it can be liquidated in any manner. After the items have been declared surplus, staff will work to sell, donate, or dispose of the item.
